City Club: Youth Forum Council Applications Now Available
Do you know a high school student interested in current events, diverse points of view,
team projects and leadership opportunities? Encourage them to apply for

Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra
Auditions generally take place at Severance Hall in May and are about 10 minutes in length.
An audition application and requirements list can be downloaded by clicking the links below. To receive audition
materials by mail (brochure, application and orchestral excerpts),

    The award winning Contemporary Youth Orchestra (CYO) is a
    non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the study and performance of
    contemporary orchestral literature. Founded in 1995 by Music Director Liza Grossman,
    CYO is the first and only youth orchestra of its kind in the country. Since its founding,
    the orchestra has expanded its membership to include representation from
    over 40 schools in Northeast Ohio and its surrounding regions.

    Engineering magazine online: Engineering: Go for It! or eGFI is an online magazine for
    middle- and high-school students created by the American Society of Engineering Education aimed at showcasing
    innovations in engineering – for example, algae-based fuel, a skyscraper with rotating floors,

    Miley Cyrus & Youth Service America Launch Global 'Get Ur Good On'
    Grants for Young Volunteers. Miley Cyrus recently partnered with Youth Service America to
    create Get Ur Good On, a social network that brings together youth to support each other in their mission

    Global Youth Leadership Institute: Middle through High School Students
    GYLI mission is to nuture collaborative leadership and to assist schools in their missions to
    inspire responsible young people.  Cultural Awareness, Personal Leadership, Sustaining the Earth.
    GYLI Summer Institute for middle through high school students are offered in various locations
    throughout the world (Costa Rica/India Institute for Student Leaders).

    Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the
    millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year
    through service and service-learning. Established in 1988, GYSD is the largest service event in
    the world and is now celebrated in over 100 countries. On GYSD, children and youth addres
    the world’s most critical issues in partnership with families, schools, community and faith-based

    Generation Green: The Ultimate Teen Guide to
    Living an Eco-Friendly Life by Linda Sivertsen and Tosh Sivertsen,
    Grades 7 & up, Ages 12 & up.  We all know about the Earth's environmental crisis, but there is

    Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage: WHAT WILL YOU DO TO STOP HATRED AND

    The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage challenges students in grades 6-12 to take
    personal responsibility to combat hatred, discrimination and intolerance by participating
